Catalonia Say's Yes to Independence

An informal vote on independence for Catalonia has shown more than 80% in favour. Despite attempts at bullying by Spain more than 2 million turned out to vote on 9th November. Now the pressure is on Spain to respond to the democratic will of the Catalan people and for a formal independence vote to go ahead. The Spanish government had used the puppet Spanish Constitutional Court to ban Catalan people from exercising their democratic right in a formal vote. But this is now being thrown in the face of the Spanish government by a Catalan people who want their freedom.

Spain has to realise that the will of the people of Catalonia cannot be ignored

A vote on independence for Catalonia on November 9 will be a step towards separation from Spain. The Spanish government is doing everything in its power to prevent the people of Catalonia from engaging in a democratic vote to determine their own future. Barcelona wanted to hold a referendum on independence, in the same way that Scotland did. At every turn Madrid, using the power of the Constitutional Court has bullied and threatened the Catalans not to hold any kind of democratic vote or consultation.

Ghost hunting in Wales this Halloween - Nos Galan Gaeaf

Ancient monuments stand throughout the country, in the case of many, their purpose and method of construction is lost in the mists of time. The air of mystery that surrounds these places is enhanced at this time of year during the damp dark days of Autumn and in particular Halloween. It is a celebration that has become global now, particularly in those countries that experienced an influx of migrants from the Celtic nations, who brought with them their own traditions.
