NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

CONGRATULATIONS NICOLA! MANX BRANCH WELCOME APPOINTMENT OF NEW FIRST MINISTER

The Celtic League Manx Branch is to write to Nicola Sturgeon MSP congratulating her on her appointment as First Minister of Scotland.

The proposal was one item of a range of both National and Inter-Celtic issues discussed at the November meeting of the branch.

The Manx Branch were enthusiastic supporters of the Scottish independence referendum held recently and although this fell short of a majority vote for independence at this time the branch note with pleasure that the momentum towards independence in Scotland is being maintained with the Scottish National Party almost quadrupling its membership (now 93,000) in recent months.
