The Cult of Aphex Twin

Cornish Bard, language speaker and activist Clive Baker has been a part narrator in both English and Kernewek in a BBC Radio 4 production venturing into the world of Richard David James, known better by his alias 'Aphex Twin'.

Richard James is an Irish-born ground breaking electronic musician best known for his influential and idiosyncratic work in styles such as ambient techno and Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) during the 1990s and beyond.

Born of Welsh parents in 1971 in Limerick, James moved to Redruth in Kernow, attended Redruth School and then Cornwall College and lived in Lanner. It was in Cornwall that his music career took off.

The progamme's presenter, John Doran describes James as 'a conduit to the pre-Christian culture of the Cornish past.'
