Kernow FA joins CONIFA

Kernow Football Alliance sidesteps FIFA and England Football Team and joins Confederation of Independent Football Associations (CONIFA)

The best efforts of FIFA and the England Football Team to prevent a Cornwall football team playing internationally have been thwarted with the Kernow Football Alliance now securing membership of CONIFA.

The Confederation of Independent Football Associations is a global umbrella organization for national teams not under the auspices of FIFA – representing nations, minorities, isolated dependencies or cultural regions.

CONIFA runs its own World Cup football competition as well as a European Cup competition and has over 50 teams represented from around the world including from Independent Nations, autonomous and self governing regions and areas which aspire to independence or self government such as Greenland, Monaco, Northern Cyprus, Somaliliand, Zanzibar, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Sardinia and even Yorkshire which has a thriving campaign calling for home rule having seen the benefits of the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly as compared to the rot infested Westminster Parliament..

We applaud this move and wish Kernow's footballers 'chons da' in the competitions to come. (Good luck)
