Mannin: Thirty Thousand ‘Income Over Expenditure Surplus’ - That Should Buy A Few Nice ‘Frocks’!

NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

Peter Crellin, Mec Vannin’s resident statistics 'Guru' (that’s when he’s not analysing the bizarre utterances from the Chamber of Commerce) has been number crunching Isle of Man income figures on the Mec Vannin Facebook pages.

We urge everyone who reads our CL post to go over to the Mec Vannin Facebook site and have a look at the statistics which I hasten to add are all based on government figures (no denying this then Allan!).

It seems that Allan Bell and his government have managed to achieve the antithesis of ‘trickle-down economics’, that’s the idea that in a successful economic model the wealth of the richest people in society filters down to help those less well off.

Allan and Co have achieved the COMPLETE OPPOSITE ‘trickle up economics’ where the top 25% of earners have an income surplus of over £30,000 and growing.

The message from Allan to us folk at the bottom of the pile is you are going to get poorer!

That sort of income over expenditure surplus should run to a few nice ‘frocks’ at the ‘Awards for Excellence’ bash tonight!
