Advances in Cornish language reported on main ITV news

Despite the best efforts of a few shortsighted politicians and others to strangle development of Cornwall's living indigeneous language, ITV news reports on the latest developments featuring Gwenno, Matthi and Radyo an Gernewegva and Rob and his Cornish speaking family.

It is good to note that examination passes in the Cornish language have increased by a remarkable 15% this year.

As Gwenno remarks "The thing that I find really interesting about the Cornish language is that many people don't know that it exists because it doesn't get the coverage as Cornwall is a very small place, it doesn't get much funding and much government support"

We pay tribute to all those who work tirelessly to promote our birthright in the face of unpleasant and shortsighted bigotry.
