PANA: Keynote conference on US/NATO military

The Irish peace group PANA (PEACE AND NEUTRALITY ALLIANCE) hold a major conference in Dublin on the 16th of this month.

The theme of the conference is United States and NATO militarism and it launches a global campaign against US/NATO military bases (link):

Keynote speakers at the conference are Dr. Aleida Guevara, (Che Guevara’s Daughter) Member, Cuban National Assembly Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD, Sinn Féin Defence Spokesperson, Dáil Éireann Clare Daly TD, Dáil Éireann, Ireland in addition there are a wide range of plenary speakers (link to conference flyer - pdf):

Dr Guevara is a frequent visitor to Ireland (the photo of her below shows her with former Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams on an earlier visit), Aengus Ó Snodaigh has been a Sinn Fein TD for 16 years representing a number of Dublin South constituencies. (his father Padraig is a long time member of the Celtic League and edited the League journal Carn some years ago). Clare Daly TD is an Independent TD and has represented several Dublin constituencies since 2011. In addition with several other Independent TDs she has been an outspoken campaigner on social issues.

Caoimhin Ó Cadhla the Celtic League Irish branch secretary who attends PANA meetings on behalf of the League is expected to attend the conference which is being held at Liberty Hall. A report will be published in CARN No 172.

The Celtic League has monitored military activity in the Celtic countries for over forty years.
