Kate returns to the fray 'armour clad' having 'bloodied' Howard

Like a modern day ‘Joan of Arc’, Kate Beecroft MHK, returns to the fray this week in the House of Keys. Last week in a reprise of ‘the Siege of Orleans’ she forced a humiliating climb down and apology from Manx Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK last week.

‘Joans of Arc’s’ fight was seen as a ‘crusade’ in its time a campaign to right a wrong. Similarly Kate’s campaign targets Europe and Howards embarrassing Brexit strategy which he has staked so much on. Howard talks a lot about Brexit and has few answers - but he shouldn’t be criticised for that there are some at the centre of the British Cabinet who have no answers either.

The ‘Joan’ analogy I admit is stretching it a bit ‘Joan’ came from a field - minding the cattle - Kate came from the Finance Sector - well their are some similarities I’ll grant you!

Never mind Kate smells political blood and sees Brexit as a weapon to savage not just Howard but his cowardly COMIN conspirators who stood idly by during her ‘No Flowers for Miss Blandish’ torment. Humiliated now she is back ‘armour clad’!

The ‘Joan’ story of course is full of ambiguities many of ‘the French’ for example supported the English claim to the French throne historians now believe. There is even dispute now over if ‘Joan’ was burned at the stake.

I doubt however that Howard does not muse wryly on the prospect of sending Kate's political schemes up in smoke.

In other unrelated developments a muttering Scottish man (aka Bela Lugosi) has wrapped himself in single use plastic to joust with the embattled ‘Baron Boot’ (Manx Agriculture and Environment Minister). I muse even Joan had a suit of armour - obviously Bela believes his ‘charm’ will protect him - dream on!
