'Bully' I'm more concerned about the blunder!

All is not well in ‘Camelot’ (aka the Chief Ministers Offices on Prospect Hill). Howard Quayle MHK is involved in yet another embarrassing climb down due it seems to getting dodgy info before spouting in Tynwald (see link):

https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/quayle-hits-back-at-bull...

I likened Kate Beecroft a while ago to ‘The Lady of Shalott’ but in this instance the ‘curse’, as Tennyson put it, is not on Beecroft it’s on the Chief Minister (CM).

The Manx Radio item concentrates on Howard denying he is a bully well I will leave others more qualified to judge the veracity of that. However surely the big news item here is that the CM blasted off in Tynwald on a false premise in that he was accusing Beecroft of not attending a meeting when she had.

COMIN colleague should be asking where and from whom the CM gets his briefing notes.

Now the Quayle - Beecroft tit for tat is hardly earth shattering but lets extrapolate this situation to more worldly things. The Chief Minister is constantly saying how important Brexit is and how imperative these many meetings that he has with the UK and others are. Lets just hope he has been given the right script when he goes on a foray abroad or heaven help us!

Anyway as he had to ‘kneel’ to ‘Kate B’ on this one we’ll finish with a snatch of Tennyson:

“He rode between the barley-sheaves,
The sun came dazzling thro' the leaves,
And flamed upon the brazen greaves
Of bold Sir Lancelot.
A red-cross knight for ever kneel'd
To a lady in his shield,
That sparkled on the yellow field,”
