Home>The trails>More on the trails
We've tried to create the trails in such a way that the sites lead logically from one to the other. We provide advice on how to get between the sites as well as other places of interest nearby. The trails within each country are self-contained; however, we hope that you will eventually visit all of the nations! For information of travelling between the nations click here.
After visiting all the nations, you will be able to truly appreciate the strong common culture that unites this ancient civilisation. For example, you would have learnt how Maeshowe in Orkney and the Newgrange Stone Circle in Ireland were both designed to align with the light of the Winter Solstice. And you would have seen the decorated stones in the tombs of Morbihan in Brittany are identical in design to those of the tombs in northern Wales.
For each site along the trails, we've included a brief description of what is there, travel directions and in many cases photos or videos.
The trails for each country can be reached by the following links, or by the menu at the top: Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany.
