Trim Castle/Caislean Bhaile Atha Troim

These are the remains of Ireland's largest Anglo-Norman castle built in the twelfth century on the site of an earlier wooden fortress. The castle has the remains of a curtain wall, moat, ditch, keep and tower.

Getting there

It is located in Trim/Baile Atha Troim in County Meath and overlooks the Boyne river and is south southwest from Navan.
