St Patrick's Chair
St Patrick's Chair consists of three standing stones. It is believed that the stones mark an ancient meeting place where preaching would take place. There are two granite pillars marked with crosses: no. 6 and 7.
When we visited the site it was a clear July morning and the stones seemed to stand majestically in the open fields.
- Located in the south part of the Island near Crosby.
- By car - We travelled directly from The Braaid site; turning right from the A24 on the road north to Crosby. Keep a keen eye out for the sign to the site of the left hand side of the road; we nearly missed it at first. Walk along the lane and then follow the signs across the field to the stones.
- By bus - Take buses 5 or 6 to Crosby post office from Peel, Ramsey or Douglas. Once at Crosby post office, walk by the side of B35 for about a mile. There is sign on
the right side of the road pointing it out.
