International Celtic Congress 31st March – 5th April 2016

The International Celtic Congress (Breton: Ar C'hendalc'h Keltiek, Cornish: An Guntelles Keltek, Manx: Yn Cohaglym Celtiagh, Scottish Gaelic: A' Chòmhdhail Cheilteach, Irish: An Chomhdháil Cheilteach, Welsh: Y Gyngres Geltaidd) is a cultural organisation that seeks to promote the culture, ideals, and languages of the Celtic peoples of Ireland/Éire, Scotland/Alba, Wales/Cymru, Brittany/Breizh, Cornwall/Kernow and the Isle of Man/Mannin.

The first Pan-Celtic Congress was held in Dublin (Irish: Baile Átha Cliath) in 1901. There is an International Celtic Congress each year in one of the Celtic countries and his years event takes place on Mannin/Isle of Man. It will be held from Thursday 31st March – Tuesday 5th April 2016 at the Empress Hotel, Central Promenade, Douglas(Manx Gaelic: Doolish). 

The International Celtic Congress is separate to the Celtic League which was founded in 1961 and has a more political emphasis.
