Food poverty is so 'complex'!

I suspect the bods down at the Chamber of Commerce agree with the Chief Minister's views on food poverty. As I indicated ‘the great man’ averred some months ago that it was a ‘complex issue’. It doesn’t seem so complex if you are at the sharp end I’d wager.Sadly it's not an issue that's likely to go away so perhaps the politicians, the mainstream media and the Chamber could mull it over.

The Chamber will have their ‘gala dinner’ anytime soon - a good excuse for the business fraternity to show of their frocks and finery even ‘Mack Sennett’ gets to wear his dinner jacket as he carries his camera round.. Perhaps if they have time it could be an after dinner topic for the guest speaker. Failing that of course there is always the Christmas Lunch.

What with the AGM luncheon just ‘put to bed’ you wonder if the Chamber do anything other than scoff or queue up at the Department for Enterprise with their begging bowls like Oliver Twist asking for more!.

What did T E Brown say:

‘Thank heavens in the Isle of Man our poor are not neglected’

Eat your heart out Thomas!
