You've still got chance to apply for free tickets to this BBC Radio 3 show at Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station on the afternoon of 7th December ... featuring Will Gregory Moog Ensemble (of Goldfrapp) members of the BBC Concert Orchestra, and boys and girls of Truro Cathedral Choir and The Changing Room.

The BBC have said:

"It's the grand finale to Radio 3's 70-day celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Third Programme!

Sean Rafferty presents a special edition of In Tune live from Goonhilly Earth Station in Cornwall. Set amid beautiful Cornish countryside, and not far from the coast, the Goonhilly site is dominated by vast space satellite dishes which have played a pioneering role in international communication and looking to the stars.

Helping to launch Radio 3 into the future for another 70 years and far beyond, guests include Will Gregory (of Goldfrapp) with his suitably space-aged Moog Orchestra, members of the BBC Concert Orchestra, composer Graham Fitkin, boys and girls of Truro Cathedral Choir, and award-winning Cornish folk group The Changing Room.

Admission to this recording is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early."

We fully support 'Changing Rooms' and all the other musicians, artists and authors working so hard and showcasing Cornwall's distinctiveness and cultural and historic differences despite the desires of Westminster politicians such as the ill informed and unpopular , if not downright ignorant Sajid Javid MP and his friends who would prefer to see us subsumed into an unnatural and artificial 'South West Region' apeing the the short-lived "South West Regional Assembly" which was undemocratically imposed on us by Tony Blair. The years go by, the transient Westminster politicians come and go like the autumn leaves, usually having failed dismally, but Cornwall remains constant.
