Congratulations to Welsh Heroes After Rugby World Cup Victory Over England

Congratulations to Wales who warmed Celtic hearts yesterday with a stunning victory against England in the Rugby World Cup group stages. Achieving a great win on foreign soil (the game was played in London, the English capital), Wales overcame a 10-point deficit and a series of injuries to pull off a sensational win against England in a tense and gripping World Cup contest.

A late try from Gareth Davies, a superb cross-field kick from Lloyd Williams, and Dan Biggar's consistent and reliable licking earning 23 points ensured victory. This is a devastating loss for England, who led 22-12 with half an hour to play and looked set for a win. England will now have to beat Australia next Saturday to keep their own World Cup campaign alive. If they lose they will be the first World Cup hosts to fail to make it out of the group stages.

The top international teams contest the Rugby World Cup every four years. The 2015 tournament is now taking place in England. New Zealand are the current champions, having defeated France in the final of  the 2011 tournament in New Zealand. The Rugby World Cup Final 2015 will be played on Saturday October 31. Fixtures can be seen on the official site of Rugby World Cup. There are three Celtic nations competing in this years World Cup - Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
