Announcement of BZH New York Assembly General Meeting 2015

Association of Bretons in New York - BZH New York is an organization of Bretons and friends of Brittany dedicated to promoting the culture, economy, tourism, and language of Brittany. Below is the announcement of their 2015 Annual General Meeting, Agenda and contact details:

Please join us for the upcoming BZH New York Assembly General Meeting where we will re-cap a very successful 2014, elect our new Board, and brainstorm for the year ahead! Our annual meeting will be held at OCabanon (245 W 29th Street) next Saturday, January 10th at 3pm.

Whether you are Breton, or a friend of Brittany please join our growing memberbase and get involved in everything BZH New York has to offer.

Agenda

- Review of BZH New York 2014 events 

- Open discussion on objectives and event ideas for 2015 

- Election of 2015 Board of Directors (you must be a paid up member to vote or be nominated) 

Board Member Duties

All interested BZH New York members are encouraged to consider running for the Board. The current Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Vice-Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice!! -Treasurer.

As a guide to considering your interest in serving, below are some of the duties performed by the Board members:

- Board members are encouraged to organize (an event) events in any of the following areas: culture, business, networking, sports, and community outreach.

- Board members participate in monthly meetings in-person and attend BZH New York events.

- Board members develop networking contacts and pursue fundraising and sponsorship opportunities for BZH New York

- Board members maintain and develop the website, membership database and create the monthly emails or newsletters.

- Board members monitor and reply to email messages sent to Info@bzh-ny.org 

- Board members assist Bretons and friends of Brittany with their questions regarding lodging, hotels, jobs, internships, etc.

For those that cannot fully commit to a board position we will also offer the opportunity for members to volunteer and be considered as BZH New York "active members" to assist on individual projects or tasks. (Administration, Fundraising, Sales & Marketing, Stade Brestois NY, Marketing, Press)

If you would like to run for a position on the Board, you must be a paid up member.

Nomination Deadline

ALL nominations for Board position must be received no later than 5pm Thursday, January 8th, 2015. Nominations for board and active members can be made via the following link:
